Publishing and replying to posts from within Engagor

Last Updated: Jan 03, 2012 02:43PM CET
Engagor can be used to directly post new messages or reply to mentions with your social profiles. You can use both personal Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter accounts, or social profiles connected to the topics of your account if you have sufficient rights.

Connecting Social Profiles

To be able to use the Publisher to it's full potential it's vital you connect the relevant social profiles. You can connect personal social profiles (your own Facebook profile, a Twitter account, ...) to your Engagor user to reply with your personal profile. But you can also couple social profiles to your Engagor topics (eg. a Facebook page). The profile will then be monitored by Engagor, and you will also be able to reply with this account from within Engagor. It's important to note you will have to login with the social accounts and allow Engagor access to your account to be able to use that account in Engagor.

Posting a new message (to several sites at once)

If you go to your inbox and click "New Post" in the sidebar, or if you click the reply icon on a mention, a dialog will pop up showing you a form field where you can post a reply. Enter your message and choose any of the available profiles to post your message or reply with. You can choose several profiles at once.

The Publisher also supports posting a like to Facebook or retweeting Twitter tweets. Click on the like or retweet icon of Facebook or Twitter mentions in your inbox to open the Publisher dialog. Then you can choose which accounts you want to use to like or retweet the said comment/tweet/post.

Keeping Track

A history of messages posted or mentions replied via the Engagor Publisher is available by clicking the "History" tab in the Publisher dialog. Here you see all messages that were posted through your Engagor account. Who posted the message, and a link to the post on the selected social networks. A list of drafts (messages not yet posted), and messages waiting to be posted is available under the "Drafts/Queue" tab.
